West Village is a picturesque, fashionable neighborhood in New York City. Here you’ll find quaint little streets, some with old cobblestone paths, and trendy shops and restaurants. It’s a great spot to visit in NYC, and also a beautiful engagement photo location.
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Morgan & Jackson West Village engagement photos here, and I’ll tell you all about it!
Hitting the West Village Streets
Our session began on the charming streets of West Village, an area renowned for its beautiful, timeless vibe. The neighborhood’s architecture, with its unique blend of modern and historic elements, creates a stunning backdrop for photography. To make it even more interesting and give it a truly classic feel, the couple got a vintage Pontiac. The car added a touch of elegance and nostalgic vibes to their engagement photos.
Morgan & Jackson’s West Village Engagement Photos
After capturing Morgan & Jackson and the vintage car, they changed into something more laid-back, yet still classy. We headed to the Parlour Room, a cozy bar-restaurant, where the couple enjoyed some drinks, allowing me to capture candid, editorial, and laid-back moments.
I loved the contrasting vibes of their West Village engagement photos! If possible, I recommend exploring more than one location and having an outfit change during your engagement session. It adds a great variety to your album and showcases more of your personalities!
Finishing the Session at the Subway
To conclude our session, we headed over to the subway station. These final shots added an urban, authentic feel to their engagement gallery. It’s so much fun finding the beauty in some of the mundane places around us and getting to create art in any setting.
West Village Engagement Photos on 35mm Film
Morgan & Jackson wanted to add film photography, and I was so here for it! Adding this element to my photography packages allows for a distinct, vintage-inspired feel that complements the digital shots. Morgan and Jackson were thrilled with the film photos, which added a unique, nostalgic layer to their session, complementing the surroundings.
